AOY built the Assemblies of Yahweh app as a free app. This SERVICE is provided by AOY at no cost and is intended for use as is. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The Personal Information we collect is used to provide and improve the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible on our website unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience while using our Service, we require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, specifically your email address and password. This information is transmitted to Auth0, our identity provider, to authenticate users and provide access to member-only content. Once authenticated, the app stores your unique user ID and membership role to facilitate role-based access to content.
Additionally, the app includes a feature that uses your location information when you press a button to provide you with the local sunset time. The app employs a Flutter permission handler to inform you why the location is needed, and you have the option to deny this permission.
Cookies
The app does not directly use cookies; however, Auth0, our identity provider, may use cookies during the login process. This login process occurs within the device’s browser, allowing users to block cookies through their device’s internal settings if applicable.
Location Information
Some services within the app may use location information transmitted from users’ mobile devices. This information is only used to provide specific services, such as calculating local sunset times, and only when you explicitly request it by pressing the relevant button. The app asks for permission before accessing your location, and you may choose to deny this permission.
Device Information
Auth0 collects device information in its logs, which are retained for 24 hours. This information is used to provide better service and prevent fraudulent activities. The data collected includes browser type, device operating system, and IP Address.
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons:
- To Facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services; or
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
We currently use Auth0 as our identity provider and the US EPA OpenAPI Microservices to calculate sunset times based on location coordinates. The only data sent to the US EPA API is your latitude and longitude when you request sunset information.
These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
Security
We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information and are committed to using commercially acceptable means of protecting it. All data transmission is securely encrypted via HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
This Service does not target anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take the necessary actions.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and, where appropriate, through email updates.
